Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training
The Green Belt has two primary tasks: first, to help successfully
deploy Six Sigma techniques, and second, to lead small-scale
improvement projects.
During the Six Sigma Green Belt Training you will learn how to
use many of the Six Sigma problem-solving methods and statistical
tools to contribute to the success of your organization.
Target audience: Multi-disciplinary, Middle management, supervisors
and functional staff, who will actively lead, or contribute to a Six Sigma
project.
Course Objectives:
1. Understand exactly
what Six Sigma is and how it is used for process improvement
2. Become familiar with the Champion, Black Belt and Green Belt,
infrastructure
3. Understand and apply the five phases of the DMAIC methodology
4. Be able to identify improvement projects in your organization
5. Be able to set up
and use effectively appropriate metrics
6. Be aware of relevant software, such as PQ Systems, Inc Six
Sigma package*
7. Be confident and comfortable to implement Six Sigma
improvement projects in your organization
* PQ Systems Six Sigma package, including (SQCpack/CHARTrunner, DOEpack, GAGEpack, Quality Gamebox) will be available for attendees. More
info on www.pqsystems.com.
Course Overview
The trainer and the
students meet every day and discuss Green Belt Philosophy and
tools and starting from the fundamentals, we go upwards and
present, analyse and discuss the related theory, which
constitutes the entire Green Belt knowledge base.
We then focus on similar exercises, expecially those involving
calculations, related to statistics, probability, control charts
ANOVA and DOE.
1. First session: In the first 4 days we will examine and discuss the Green Belt Six Sigma philosophy, with the remaining 4 days being dedicated to SPC, DOE and MSA R&R training, using specific 6-sigma software provided by PQ Systems, Inc. You will need your pocket calculator with statistical functions, your notebook, with Excel (possibly English version) installed and a CD Rom to install further software (PQ Systems Six-Sigma package).
2. Between the first and second wave of Green Belt training (4 weeks time) you will recognise and apply Six Sigma theory and techniques to processes you have recognised for improvement within your organisation and discuss these during the second wave of the Green Belt Programme
3. In the second session, we will also have short presentations of Six Sigma projects by attendees and class discussion.

from the same company. To enrol, please download the application form and send it to ![]()
Are
there any prerequisites to enrol in this course?
There are no formal prerequisites for Feanors Six Sigma
Green Belt training. This training is ideal for anyone wanting to
learn the fundamentals of the Six Sigma philosophy and tools at
Green Belt level. Self motivation and some knowledge of
continuous improvement tools are an advantage but not essential.
